HORDEN BUS STOP HOP🚌
2024
5 years on from the original If These Walls Could Talk artists Sally Southern and Nicola Lynch returned to Horden to celebrate and co-create another series of bus stops with the residents of Horden, once again popping up to occupy a series of bus stops on Sunderland Road with some new additions including an allotment shed and the tiniest tourist information shop.
The Horden Bus Stop Hop invited people to reimagine the streets of Horden again with a series of co-created pop-up bus stops that included a working men’s club, a visitors centre slash tourist information and an allotment shed. Each site offered opportunities to engage with volunteers to learn more about things happening in Horden, to dance on the street to a pub singer or collect seed bombs and pot plants in the allotment. The sites celebrated local people and the magic of the every day.
