OUR TEAM
Meet the brilliant people powering our work
JESS HUNT — PROGRAMME DIRECTOR
“Lots of you might have met me over the years because I’ve worked on the programme since 2015. I’m really passionate about making sure that everybody has access to arts and culture, no matter who they are or where they come from”.
FAYE WATSON — PROGRAMME ADMINISTRATOR
“I’m a great allrounder, having studied Fine Art at university, then moving into visual merchandising in retail. I’ve supported major cultural commissions as an arts admin here and on the Adult Learning projects for East Durham Trust”.
ELLEN RANSON — PROGRAMME COORDINATOR
“I’m from a visual arts background, most recently completing my MA from MIMA School of Art. I’m also a painter and have exhibited nationally. I’m passionate about broadening access to arts and culture, having ran a DIY festival”.
VONNI HARDMAN — CREATIVE COMMUNITY ACTIVIST
“My background’s in primary education and activism. The latter, both within the community and the trade union movement. I’m passionate about arts and culture as a way to bring people together”.
STEVEN WALKER — DIGITAL & MARKETING LEAD
“As Creative Director at OGRE Studio, I firmly believe in the power of design as an accelerator for social and commercial change. After leading the rename and rebrand for No More Nowt, I now lead on brand, digital and marketing in long-term collaboration with this brilliant team”.
AARON BOWMAN — PLACE LAB, CREATIVE PRODUCER
“I'm delighted to be returning to my home County to work alongside some fantastic County Durham communities on the Place Lab project as part of the Into The Light initiative. I can't wait to get stuck in, start meeting people, developing ideas and ultimately increasing creative activity in our communities”.
EILIS MCGOWAN — CREATIVE PRODUCER
“As a producer, facilitator and co-founder of Mustard Stories Arts CIC, I’ve worked with many communities across the North East and Co. Durham to co-create amazing art with residents and community organisations. I can't wait to see what projects they want to do next and help bring this to life right at their doorstep”.
