'Creating our Queer Landmarks' is an exhibition and parade which will take place at Dawdon Youth and Community Centre on 28th January 11am -1pm.

Throughout a range of creative sessions lead by artists Bex Harvey and Sarah Li, members of the Dawdon Youth and Community Centre Youth Hub told many stories and asked many questions, perhaps the most thought-provoking being: 

"Are there any queer landmarks in Durham?"

Come and see what the youth hub have created in response to this question, together with artists Bex Harvey and Sarah Li (from Unlearn and Publish). The art is all about LGBTQIA+ histories, storytelling and celebrating the stories of the Youth Hub and their experiences of queerness, allyship, connection and friendship.  

As part of the exhibition there will be a film screening, a chance to look around art objects and a small parade, led by the Youth Hub.
